Quixotic Exertion in the Morning-time

Northeast Tennessee Arrowhead (Indian Trail) Johnson City

Nineteen brethren, finding repugnant the wasteful act of slumber, vigorously arose and partook a repast of physical conditioning. The moon, having itself retired prior to the ascension of the blessed sun, absconded with its illumination, yet no fear dwelt in the hearts of these brave souls as the heavens were festooned with twinkling silver orbs.

A curious, strapping specimen, though surely among the noblest of these men, approached me in the darkness, and with a swinging motion of his arm applied the face of his open palm upon my right buttock, thus signaling to all the commencement of the conditioning. I found the ritual curious, although not all together unpleasant.

THE THANG

Separate into two groups. Group 2 ran to the bleachers on the opposite site of the track. Group 1 stayed at the bleachers where we start.

Take off running, and start the reps. At each set of bleachers (1/8 mile), stop and do a set of reps of the following exercises:

  • Dips
  • Merkins
  • Jump Squats
  • Big Boy Sit-ups
  • Seal Jacks

Start at 15 reps, then move to the next exercise. Once 1 round is completed of 15 reps each, move to 25, then 35, then 45 of each exercise. None completed the full routine, but one Pax got very close.

MOLESKIN
Pray for Las Vegas, our nation, and against the evil in this world. It will never be fully gone, but our response to it is what will define our communities, families, and ourselves.

Get on that Q sheet! It’s not hard. Some would say after you’ve done it a few times it’s even fun.
