A clear Tuesday morning provided perfect weather for YHC to lead his VQ at the yet to be named AO at #thehill, AKA #therange. 8 PAX gathered for a morning of running and working the core all in celebration of YHC’s 2.1’s 22nd birthday today. Various combinations of 7, 14, and 22 made for some fun.

Pax were numbered off by threes and then moseyed through the gloom to the skate park where 4 cones awaited them. A single front cone marked the spot from where pax would bear crawl to Cones 1, 2, and 3 where stations of 22 delights awaited. After completing each numbered station, pax would run up to the baseball concession hilltop where 22 more delights were repeated with each ascent.
- Cone 1: 22 Big Boy Sit-Ups (complete and run the hill)
- Cone 2: 22 Shoulder Taps – 2 count (complete and run the hill)
- Cone 3: 22 American Hammers (complete and run the hill)
- Hilltop on each ascent: 22 LBCs
- Rinse and Repeat
After several ascents, the pax lined up for an Indian Run with the leader tossing a 6 lb. medicine ball back to the pax behind him. YHC thought the 5 burpees on each dropped ball would be enough to keep the ball in play. Two drops during the run led to 10 burpees before the pax returned to the range to circle up.
Four minutes found an assortment of pax calling out 22 SSH, 22 squats, 22 hand release merkins, and 7 ice skater squats. Time was called.
CIRCLE OF TRUST
While we celebrated YHC’s 2.1’s 22nd birthday today, we were reminded that one of the reasons we face the gloom each morning is to be better men, husbands, and fathers as we work to stay healthy mentally, spiritually, and physically for those around us. It’s the encouragement of these men that keeps us coming back out and working hard.
A permanent name for the AO at #thehill is still in the works.
