The weather was almost perfectly miserable with a steady rain and temp at 35F. However 14 PAX showed up and completed the previous African Safari started a year ago.
The warmup consisted of getting moving and trying to stay moving. 10 side straddle hops in cadence followed by half the parking lot of knee’s up and returning with butt kickers.
Mosi’d down to DORA hill. Elephant session. Derived from the way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
- Starting at the bottom of DORA Hill with 1 Merkin, jog to half way up DORA Hill and complete 1 squat, jog to the top of DORA Hill and complete 1 Burpee. Jog back down to the bottom of the DORA Hill completes one bite.
- Starting at the bottom of DORA Hill continue with 2 Merkins, jog to half way up DORA Hill and complete 2 squats, jog to the top of DORA Hill and complete 2 Burpee’s. Jog back down to the bottom of the DORA Hill completes the second bite.
- Rinse and repeat until 10 bites.
Mosi’d to the corner “Memorial” parking lot. Rhino session. Rhino’s have very poor eyesight but an excellent sense of smell. Building a ladder to get up and away from danger.
- Starting at one end of the parking lot, jog to the first parking spot stripe, turn and head back to the start. Return to the second parking spot stripe and return to the start. Build up to 5 parking spot stripes and return to the beginning is one rung of the ladder. You need at least 5 rungs to get out of Rhino reach.
Mosi’d back to the DB Band practice field. All 14 PAX completed one lap around the perimeter of the practice field with 1 burpee at the first corner, 2 burpee’s at the second corner, 3 burpee’s at the third corner and 4 burpee’s at the last corner.
