8 PAX left the comfort of the Shire to join YHC on the quest to Mount Doom…er, I mean, the hill in front of the school.

THE THANG
We moseyed over to the front of the school (base of Mount Doom) and began the Thang. Evidently, YHC has a different mental account of the Lord of the Rings movies, so we changed up a standard ladder, included the hill, and let the fun begin! All while the sultry sounds of Led Zeppelin filled the Misty Mountain air.
When PAX finished their reps, they held plank/Al Gore/Reverse Tabletop until the 6 is done.
Bottom of the hill – 10 burpees
Middle of the hill – 20 Merkins
Tippity Top of the hill – 30 squat jumps
Middle of the hill – 40 mountain climbers
Bottom of the hill (pit of Mount Doom) – 50 LBC’s
When finished, rinse and repeat. It’s kind of like the movies: when you think it’s over, you have at least 15 more minutes.
MARY
We had a few minutes left for some MARY, so YHC pulled a Frodo and started going around the circle for each exercise. This included reverse table top, elevator merkins, American hammers, and flutter kicks.
