This was supposed to be my first Q since a long absence, but it ended up being my 3rd.Β I kept the title anyway!Β A light rain cooled down an otherwise warm end of June in the Tri-Cities, setting the stage for a memorable morning workout. Despite the unexpected weather, the PAX showed up ready to crush it, with Honeysuckle stepping up to lead until our fellow PAX, Jake, made his grand entrance. π¦οΈπββοΈ
DISCLAIMER
Today’s workout is like that unexpected cool breeze in Juneβrefreshing but challenging! As we dive into this rain-dampened session, remember, we’re here to push each other and have fun, not to win any medals. Join in, push your limits, and remember, it’s all in good spirit! ππ
PRAYER
Thank God for this cool morning, the rain that nourishes the earth, and the company of each other as we strive to be better men. π
Warm-Up:
Honeysuckle kicked things off with enthusiasm, setting a high bar for the day:
– **Side Straddle Hops** – Jumping into the workout with energy! ποΈββοΈ
– **Imperial Walkers** – Jake joined us mid-stride, adding to the rhythm. πΆββοΈ
– **Willie Mays Hayes** – Stretching deep to catch those outfield flies. βΎ
– **Little Baby Arm Circles** – Forward and back, gearing up our shoulders for whatβs to come. π
– **Sticky Butt Kickers** – Kicking off the remnants of sleep and raindrops alike. π
– **Mountain Man Poopers** – Bringing some rustic flair to our morning routine. ποΈ
The Thang:
Our circuit today was a true test of endurance and will, moving from station to station with decreasing reps each round, challenging our stamina as the rain challenged our resolve:
– **Pull-Up Bars**: Started with 10 pull-ups, gripping hard against the slick of rain. πͺ
– **Bernie Sanders to Swings**: Moved with gusto to the swings for 10 under dogs. πββοΈ
– **Benches in Front of School**: Ran to the benches and executed 10, 2-count, step ups, feeling the burn with each lift. π₯
– **Parking Lot**: Ran and then Karaoke to the end, keeping our spirits and feet light. π€
– **10 Overhead Presses**: Pushing against the weight of the damp air. ποΈ
– **Bear Crawl to Pull-Up Bars**: Returned to start, lowering reps by 1 each round, each cycle a little harder, a little heavier, just like our breaths. π»
No Moleskin today as we focused purely on the physical aspects of our gathering.
Announcements:

BOM (Ball of Man):
We closed our session with a tight circle, hearts lighter, despite the rain and the grind. We left the asphalt stronger, not just in body but in the bond that only such mornings can build.
