On this fine, crisp morning—clear skies, a cool breeze, and the perfect weather for reforming our muscles—11 brave PAX gathered, symbolizing the steadfastness of Luther and his followers. Like Luther’s 95 Theses, we had our list of grievances… mainly with gravity, Jake always late, the cold ground, and Etch in in a hoodie. 🐻💪
Today’s mission was simple: reform our strength, one block curl at a time. And if Luther could go to Worms to stand his ground, then surely we could push through a few curls and squats to bring some fire to our day. Here we stand, 11 PAX strong, and ready to hammer out the gains!
Disclaimer
Today’s workout is dedicated to reforming our bodies, minds, and maybe even some historical trivia knowledge! Just as Martin Luther questioned the status quo, remember to question your own limits—but safely! F3 is free, peer-led, and voluntary, so modify as needed. This workout is inspired by the determination of Luther himself, so let’s get ready to nail it (literally)! 🛠️✝️💪
PRAYER
We thanked God for the blessing of fellowship, strength, and the courage to stand up for what matters most, both in faith and fitness. 🙏
Warm-Up
To get started, we took inspiration from Luther’s bold spirit and warmed up with conviction:
– **15 Imperial Walkers** IC and **17 Hillbilly Walkers** IC – Commemorating Reformation Day, October 31st, 1517
– –
– **10 Reformation Arm Circles** – For Pope Leo X
– **Willie Mayes Hayes- Spread your legs and stretch like the Reformation spread around the world.
The Thang: “The 95 Theses Circuit”
**Station 1: “Nail It”** 🛠️ (Luther’s 95 Theses on the Wittenberg Door)
– **95 Curls with the Block** – Broken into 3 sets of 31 reps, with a “Luther Lap” after each set running to the light pole (to be enlightened) and doing 10 Heels to Heaven by Faith Alone.
**Station 2: “Diet of Worms”** 🪱 (Luther’s bold defense in 1521)
– **15 Merkins + 21 Block Presses** Do one exercise and run down to the Enlightenment pole and do
– **10 Inch Worms** forward and back, symbolic of Luther’s endurance at the “Diet” (no real worms were harmed!). Come back and to the other and then 10 more Inch Worms
**Station 3: “Faith Alone”** ✝️ (Sola Fide – “Faith Alone” was Luther’s rallying cry)
– **31 Block Squats** – A set for Reformation Day itself, October 31. Then run to the last light pole and
– **10 Lunges (each leg)** – Standing firm like Luther with every rep.
**Station 4: “95 American Hammers to nail the Theses”**
– Then run to the end, just like Luther ran for his life for several years after he Nailed It!
Mary: The Augsburg Core-fession 🔥
1. **21 Freddy Mercury IC because we know all monks rode bikes.
2. **Mountain Climbers till time as Luther had to continue climb mountains to escape execution.
Moleskin
**Moleskin:**
Today, we reflected on *sola fide*—faith alone—and how it drives our lives individually. Faith is deeply personal; it’s what each of us holds within, and it keeps us steady even in challenging times. But just like working out, we get stronger and stay grounded when we come together. Alone, faith gives us strength; together, it builds us up, refines us, and pushes us further than we’d go on our own. As iron sharpens iron, being here with each other strengthens not only our bodies but also our hearts and minds. We grow better, and stronger, together.
