No time for Mary – she’s still recovering from last week anyway. πŸ‘»

Moleskin: Be Slow to Anger and Quick to Repent πŸ€πŸ™

Brothers, today’s beatdown reminded us how quickly our legs can betray us when pushed – much like how quickly anger can flare up and betray our witness. Scripture calls us: β€œEveryone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires” (James 1:19–20). πŸ—£οΈπŸ˜€

And again, β€œWhoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly” (Proverbs 14:29).

From a Reformed perspective, we know that even our best efforts at self-control fall short because of indwelling sin. God Himself is β€œmerciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love” (Exodus 34:6). His patience toward us in Christ – not treating us as our sins deserve – is the ultimate model. When anger rises, we must be quick to repent, turning to the cross where Christ absorbed the wrath we deserved. True repentance isn’t just sorrow over consequences but a Spirit-wrought turning from sin to God, trusting His grace alone for forgiveness and transformation.πŸ™ŒβœοΈ
