THE THANG 1
The Cooper Test. It was invented in 1968 by Dr. Cooper, and can predict your V02 max results with about 90% accuracy. The next best thing is getting hooked up to a gas mask and a treadmill in a doctor’s office. Since most of us can’t do that, this test is a good approximation of how well your body uses oxygen. What’s great about the test is that it’s very simple, and has stood the test of time, used by professional and college-level coaches for decades. It also sucks, a lot.

For the Cooper Test, you line up on the track and complete as many laps as possible in 12 minutes, at an all out effort. That’s it.

You can plug your results into a calculator and compare your V02 max results against other doods here: https://www.exrx.net/Calculators/MinuteRun
