THE THANG
QIC was delighted to find the lights on around the track! We did a 100 Meter train of pain (5 stations set up every 25 meters or so). Since the Kingport PAX havn’t seen some of our fun toys, blocks, sandbags, and pullup bars were provided.
- Station One: Kettle Block Swings
- Station Two: Overhead Block Presses
- Station Three: Pull Up Bar (Murph Practice)
- Station Four: Burpees
- Station Five: Block Curls
One guy at each station waiting on a buddy to bear crawl, lunge, or carry in 100lbs of sand before moving on. *Did not anticipate having 7 guys, which botched the rhythm a bit, but everyone was always moving (which is the point, right). Even still, it could be improved.

In thinking about last week’s eclipse, I have heard several folks talking about their disappointment that it never got all the way dark, even with 96% totality. This is just a testament to how powerful light is! Think about it- it only took 4% of the sun to keep everything lit and warm. Men, we are surrounded. We are outnumbered; there are more broken, hurting people than there are healthy, strong ones. And yet, we still have hope. Even at 24 to 1, I’m betting on the light.
Psalm 139:11-12
11 If I say, “Let darkness surround me, let the light around me be night,”
12 even darkness like this is not too dark for you; rather, night is as clear as day, darkness and light are the same.
