8 pax sauntered forward to grab life by the horns and curb stomp mediocrity. Instead of staying in bed, of course. They joined me for my 7th year as a part of this esteemed brotherhood. Fortunately, 7 is a high enough number that I didn’t have to get super creative in order to come up with a workout. Win-win.

Motivator – from 7 – of course! Then some other warmy-up-type-stuff.

THE THANG

Mosey to the hill with a block for:

  1. Jacob’s Ladder:Seven times up the hill, ascending ladder from 1 to 7 burpees at the top
  2. Sevens with hand-release merkins and KBS

Mosey back to the pull up bars for:

  1. Sevens with Goblet Squats and Pull-ups
  2. Sevens with weighted lunges (L + R = 1) and bear crawl across parking lot for Mike Tysons
  3. Sevens with Pushup block drags and Underdogs
  4. Sevens with OHP and Curls
  5. Sevens with Lawnmowers (L +R = 1) and Blockees

With all of these, if you are in the lead, go back for the six and do an extra round.

After 7 years, I’ve seen a lot of the same thing, but I’ve also seen a lot of growth and change. As our region dealt with the pandemic and other ebbs and flows of life, the only thing that has been truly consistent has been the need for change, evolution, and new faces and new energies to keep this great thing going. I’m thankful for our founders and the past, and I’m thankful for the new blood and changes as we go forward to the future. Long live F3 and long live each of us.
