Leadership is of high importance in F3.  I came across this quote earlier this week and felt it served as a good reminder that we are called to be leaders in all areas of our lives.

“You don’t need position or permission to lead.  Lead where you are”

I shared a quote several weeks back from Jocko, “you don’t get to be the leader you want to be.  You have to be the leader your team needs.” For years I’ve thought “leadership” was giving directives and having them followed.  Having a family and being somewhat “wiser” I’ve learned that this is not leadership.  Especially when it comes to my kids and leading them.  This quote has made me step back and reevaluate my approach to being the father my kids need. I know this is a problem we all face at times.  Continue to encourage each other and keep each other accountable.
