WARMUP

  • SSH x40IC  – It was just as we started that YHC heard the familiar refrain from the dreaded train…still gives me chills.  YHC thought of the Iron Horse men pumping out the burpees and thought to self, “Self, we Erwin folk need a signature exercise.”  Challenge accepted!
  • Imperial Walkers x20IC
  • Hillbilly Walkers x20IC
  • Merkins x10IC
  • Mountain Climbers x15IC
  • Plank Jacks x15IC
Michael Phelps (It’s just a warmup for heaven’s sake)
  • Plank Jumps x15IC
  • Squats x20IC (3 count hold)  – YHC varied the count to hopefully add to the burn…from the PAX groan, I would say that I was success…or annoying…not sure
  • Lunge jumps x20IC

THE THANG

Mosey around carpool circle and stop at the flag.

Tag Team Wheel Barrow Run

Pair up at the cone just beyond the flag.  Partner 1 wheel barrow’s to the second cone then switches with Partner 2. Partner 2 goes to the third cone at which point they switch back to Partner 1 to take it to cone four.  At the fourth cone, the pair sprints back to the first cone.
Rise and Repeat with Partner 2 leading the first leg.
Plank Jack or Mountain Climbers on the six.

Long Jump, Squat Ladder (need to come up with a better name)

While facing perpendicular to the length of parking stall and using the lines as a guide, long jump across one stall to the next line.  Do one squat then long jump twice (hopefully across two stalls). Do two squats the long jump three times…so on and so forth.  At the end of the row (~6 squats), long jump back to the first line.

Tag Team Wheel Barrow Run

Long Jump, Burpee Ladder (this name is no better)

Same thing as Long Jump, Squat Ladder except with Burpees.

MARY

Ring of Fire:  Circle up on the six, feet about 18″ off the ground.  Each PAX holds the position while one at a time each PAX runs the inner circle throwing the legs down.

Flutter kicks x30IC

LBC x15 IC (3 count hold)
