The Teaser:

Double Applesauce around the track.  Planning for 2 laps but Donatello & Baby playing the short game started throwing the coupon (Indian Corn) so we could all do the 10 burpee penalty.  1 Lap and 20 burpees was sufficient.

The Thang:

This is where we got back to the bear necessities.  On the football field, starting on the goal line, bear crawl to 25 yd ln, 5 burpees, side bear crawl to the 50 yd ln, 5 burpees, other side bear crawl to the 75 yd ln, 5 burpees, crawl bear to the goal line, 5 burpees, plank for the 6.  Jack Webbs 1-3.  Whew at least that was over, up next, bear crawl to 25 yd ln, 10 big boy sit-ups, side bear crawl to the 50 yd ln, 10 big boy sit-ups, other side bear crawl to the 75 yd ln, 10 big boy sit-ups, crawl bear to the goal line, 10 big boy sit-ups, plank for the 6. Jack Webbs 4 & 5.  Wouldn’t want to do that again so we did something different.  Bear crawl to 25 yd ln, 20 flutter kicks, side bear crawl to the 50 yd ln, 20 flutter kicks, other side bear crawl to the 75 yd ln, 20 flutter kicks, crawl bear to the goal line, 20 flutter kicks, plank for the 6.  Jack Webb 6.  Low on time so we missed out on the last 100 yd crawl.  Mosey to the cones.  A regular triangle you say?  No says I, welcome to the Bearmuda Triangle.  60 yds and 6 burpees later, we joined up for a fire drill.  Fortunately the ground was cold and wet which put the fire out pretty quick.  On to some Mary, only time for Rudy’s elevator and Baby’s boat/canoe.  And it only took 45 minutes.  If only we’d of had more time…..

Moleskin:

When I woke up this morning, I wasn’t sure I could make it through this Q, let alone lead it.  There were 17 guys who held tough this morning.  360 yards of bear crawl and 46 burpees, two of my least favorite things to do.  It was a good feeling to walk away knowing we put in a lot of hard work and will be better for it next time.  But, let us remember not to boast in ourselves.  Let your life do the talking.  Jeremiah 9:23-24: Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.  For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”  Just a reminder for me to suppress that pride.  We come out to work hard and get better.  Let’s just make sure we aren’t placing all our faith in our own strength.  Too many people depend on us and we’re called for something more important.
