Frosted Tips

Northeast Tennessee Arrowhead (Indian Trail) Johnson City

Well, YHC took the Q for this morning earlier this week and then the bottom dropped out for the temperature. With a quick turn into a typical winter-esque Q, YHC decided to take a throwback idea (frosted tips) and apply it to a beatdown.

Basically, it seemed like a good idea going in, but we may feel pain and regret later. So, typical F3 workout, amiright?!?!?

THE THANG
We partnered up and moved to the crosswalk, we got this Thang going! With a brief explanation (that felt like it continued throughout the workout, lol) we got started. Here’s the breakdown:

Crosswalk:

partner 1: overhead press, Partner 2: run

Then switch

2nd lightpole:

Partner 1: Merkins, Partner 2: run

Then switch

3rd lightpole:

Partner 1: squats, Partner 2: run

Then switch

4th lightpole:

Both partners: 10 burpees

Then both partners run halfway up Misty Mountain around the loop and back to the start.

Both partners then do 10 pull-ups each.

Rinse & repeat 1 more time

3rd round: replace all lightpole exercises with squats. Possible to modify up on the last lightpole for 10 burpees (if you were feeling extra froggy).

MOLESKIN
Our lives operate best when we realize we exist in rhythms. There are good rhythms (working out, spending intentional time with family, serving your church, serving your community, etc.), but just like a band that’s not following their conductor, if we fall out of these positive rhythms, we find ourselves developing bad habits that can take us away from what we’re accomplishing. Be aware of where you are right now: if you’re in a good rhythm of life, keep it up! Look for encouragement from loved ones to keep it going. If you’re in a bad rhythm, the time to course-correct is now. Small steps and you’ll be back on the beat in no time!
