180 Merkin Fun Run

Beautiful, sunny morning at a crisp 26 degrees. 15 Pax showed up to experience the joy of running.

THE THANG
Modified Merkin Mile:
5 Merkins IC every 1/8 mile for a mile = 40 Merkins IC
Al Gore on 6 at all times. We also managed 20 burpees in penalties for letting the flag touch the ground twice.
Pull-up and Jump Squat Ladder
Pull up ladder – pull ups and jump squats from 10 to 1, running between pull-up bars and 4rd parking lot light for the jump squats. Most Pax got nearly finished before I called time.
Modified Merkin Mile #2:
5 Merkins IC every 1/8 mile for a mile = 40 Merkins IC. Some bonus Merkins along the way put us at 90 Merkins IC for 180 Merkins total.
GPS watches put the Pax anywhere from 3.2 to 3.6 miles – so everyone got a 5k fun run out of the deal. Great job, everyone!

We need to examine our hearts more often than our needs. We should draw close to Christ for its own sake. Only then will we find what we should really be asking for.
