Warmup

No warmup necessary, unless you count a burpee as a warmup!

The Thang

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – a burpee!

On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 2 HR merkins and a burpee!

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 6 LBC’s, 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 7 pickle pounders (these might have been my favorite gift), 6 LBC’s, 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 8 lunges, 7 pickle pounders (these might have been my favorite gift), 6 LBC’s, 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 9 shoulder pretzels, 8 lunges, 7 pickle pounders (these might have been my favorite gift), 6 LBC’s, 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 10 imperial walkers, 9 shoulder pretzels, 8 lunges, 7 pickle pounders (these might have been my favorite gift), 6 LBC’s, 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

It was at this point that YHC decided that we were moving too fast through the workout.  To compensate, all moves above the “5 golden rings” were completed in cadence.  YHC debated on the best way to perform a stairs loop in cadence, but met some significant adversity in that endeavor.

On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 11 through the tunnel(s), 10 imperial walkers, 9 shoulder pretzels, 8 lunges, 7 pickle pounders (these might have been my favorite gift), 6 LBC’s, 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – 12 LBAC’s, 11 through the tunnel(s), 10 imperial walkers, 9 shoulder pretzels, 8 lunges, 7 pickle pounders (these might have been my favorite gift), 6 LBC’s, 5 golden rings (which was actually just a stairs loop – what a raw deal), 4 dips, 3 squats, 2 HR merkins, and a burpee!

ALERT! – The preceding verse was not a typo.  We were having so much fun, and certain PAX were shedding layers at such an alarmingly rapid rate, YHC decided we needed to work on day #12 a little more.

After completion of this cycle and some personal reflection, YHC decided that “my true love” was not a very good giver of gifts this morning.  Most of these gifts just plain stunk, but we powered through it!

While enjoying these gifts, we got to hear musical stylings by the likes of:

-Relient K

-Straight No Chaser

-Bob Rivers

-Jeff Foxworthy

-Chris Richter

-The Christmas Spirit Ensemble

-Kids Christmas Party Music

-Jason Manns/Misha Collins

-John Denver & The Muppets

-Jarrod Alonge

-The Covington Catholic Chamber Choir

-Johnny Cole and the Robert Evans Chorus

-Eddie K Ka’anoi

Each musician provided their own rendition of the classic “The 12 Days of Christmas”.

We still had some time left over.  YHC thought back to his “Mary, did you know” Q.  We had enough time to go around about 3/4 of the circle with PAX getting to lead some of their favorite exercises.

Count-O-Rama – 20 PAX in attendance.
