Mentioned to the Pax that this was my 3rd year anniversary of sorts. My first post was 10/15/16. I also mentioned that I am here today because of Kardashian and that I thought about doing a Q around the Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner. (her bday is 11/5/55) She has 6 children, 10 grandchildren and 1 Kenya. (Got some grief from the Pax for doing a moleskin prior to the Q) I won’t mention what someone suggested a pre-moleskin should be called.

THE THANG
My 2nd post was 10/22/16 Q’d by Donatello. He introduced the Pax of Ironhorse (which has not expanded to NETN) to Tabata. 4 minutes of a single exercise broken into 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest for 8 rounds with a 1 minute rest between exercises. I decided to pay tribute to that with my own tabata.
- Burpees – 30 seconds, 10 seconds
- Hello Dolly – 20 seconds, 10 seconds
- Reverse Lunges – 20 seconds, 10 seconds
- Mountain Climbers – 20 seconds, 10 seconds
- Merkins – 20 seconds, 10 seconds
- Squats – 20 seconds, 10 seconds
- Wall Jumps – 20 seconds, 10 seconds
- Spider-Man – 20 seconds, 10 seconds*
* Even though the Tabata was timed to exactly 39 minutes and we started at 5:35, we somehow ended with 40 seconds still on the tabata timer for spider-mans. This leads me to believe that the Tabata timer may be just a tad slower than actual time. I had a 1 minute cushion on time that somehow disappeared.
Other facts about today. Guy (Guido) Fawkes was part of the Gunpowder plot in 1605. He wanted to blow up King James I and his government. This was because of religion. … So, Fawkes and his group put 36 barrels of gunpowder in cellars underneath the Houses of Parliament in London, ready to set off a massive explosion. – Proud to know Kardashian was aware of this historical fact.
Far from being the plot’s ringleader Guy “Guido” Fawkes was merely the trigger man drafted in to set the fuse.
Born in York he converted to Catholicism following the death of his father and left to become Mercenary fighting for the Spanish against the Protestant Dutch.
Given his expertise in explosives he was charged with setting and lighting the fuse to the gunpowder.
He was caught red-handed by the King’s men beneath the palace and was tortured for two days at the Tower of London until he gave up his co-conspirators.
The traditional death for traitors in 17th-century England was to be hanged, drawn and quartered in public. Fawkes would have been forced to watch as his testicles were cut off and his innards ripped out.
But as he awaited his punishment on the gallows, Fawkes, 35, leapt from the platform and broke his neck.
He was still hanged and the four parts of his body sent around the country to warn others.
November 5 was later declared a national holiday and people began burning effigies of Fawkes – called guys – and later setting off fireworks representing the gunpowder.

MOLESKIN
As I said during the disclaimer that this Q was my belated bday Q (10/23) and my F3 anniversary Q (10/15/16). I owe it to Kardashian to challenging me to come out and give F3 a try. Then I owe it to all the Pax there that first post who challenged my manhood by running laps around me literally and figuratively. I owe it to Donatello for brining F3 to JC and for taking on the responsibility of it all that first year plus until the rest of the Pax could help take on more responsibilities. I owe it all of the Pax who have stepped up in leadership roles and those who are dedicated and show up every day to put in the work and suffer with me and next me to each post. Thank you!!! I mentioned that I have done this Tabata workout or a tabata workout in the gym 3 other times alone and it wasn’t as much fun as doing it this morning with the Pax. Joanna mentioned it wasn’t fun with me this morning either. I appreciate that others are willing to come out and do something that isn’t fun to make themselves better and to support others who are trying to do the same thing.
