Zachary Tellier WOD.  A great total body WOD.  Zachary Tellier was an infantryman in Afghanistan and died in 2007 of wounds sustained while on a ground patrol.  The year prior to this his unit was on a mounted patrol when one of the vehicles went over and IED.  The vehicle was set on fire.  Zachary pulled two injured soldiers out of the burning vehicle to safety saving their lives.  He suffered some severe burns to his hands doing this.  After he was burned, he climbed in the a turret mounted gun and began to return fire.  A lieutenant made him get out of the vehicle and stop fighting because of his injuries.  He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with valor for his actions.  I’m not sure if the WOD was something he liked to do, or if it was created and named in his honor.  Either way it’s a solid workout.

QIC was told the previous day about a lady’s daughter who had suddenly passed away.  She was 39 years old.  Occasionally we have these reminders or realizations that we should just hug the people around us and tell them how much they mean to us.  Hearing this was one of those moments for me.
