Northeast Tennessee

100s on the Hill

Northeast Tennessee Arrowhead (Indian Trail) Johnson City

9 PAX descended on Arrowhead to crank up the heat on a brisk but clear 31 degree morning. YHC was eager to get back in the saddle with a Q worthy of the good ol days of Arrowhead.
TTT – 10 IC

Imperial Walker – 15 IC

Slow Squat – 10 IC

LBAC – 10 IC then reverse 10 IC

Merkin – 10 IC

Mosey to the bottom of the hill at the main entrance to the school.
Straightforward routine. 4 primary moves with a descending core ladder for a “break”. Begin at the bottom of the hill, run up to the middle of the hill and perform 50 of the primary move. Then run to the top of the hill and finish the remaining 50. Run back to the bottom of the hill for the core work, then move on to the next primary move.

  • 100 Merkins
  • 80 American Hammers (4 count)
  • 100 Squats
  • 60 Flutter Kicks (4 count)
  • 100 Lunges (R+L=1)
  • 40 LBCs
  • 100 Burpees
  • 20 Heels to Heaven (4 count)

YHC called it at 6:15 for a mosey back to the track. Some of the PAX made it to the first set of burpees. Others seemed to be greatly enjoying the run up the hill after all the lunges. Solid work put in by everyone.

It’s been a tough year. Roughly a year after the emergence of COVID, the CDC says we can hug one another again (if you’ve been vaccinated). Despite your thoughts on the science, this is welcome news. Our world needs less negativity and more perpetual optimism. Be a source of hope and light in the world. As things open back up, men around our communities will need what F3 can offer more than ever. Throw down some strong EHs and get some of those who’ve drifted away back in the gloom. We’ve got something special to share so we need to do everything we can to offer it to a broken world.
