THE THANG
Like most of you, my inspiration came from daydreaming about the times of the old Methodist circuit riders – itinerant preachers who rode from small town parish to small town parish, preaching the good news. This method was adopted to address the shortage of clergy in growing rural America. So this workout is the same thing. Except the shortage we are experiencing is a shortage of burpees. And the Good News is pain.

  1. Mosey to church 1: Top of Lambeth Hill. Good News: 10 merkins, 10 lunges, 10 burpees
  2. Church 2: Top of Hemorrhoid Hill: 10 merkins, 10 pickle pounders IC, 10 burpees
  3. Church 3: Bottom of Hemorrhoid Hill: 10 dancing bears, 10 lunges, 10 burpees
  4. Church 4: Swings: 3 rounds of 10 underdogs, 10 chicken peckers (L+R=1)
  5. Church 5: Pull up bars: 6 rounds of 5 pull ups, 5 step ups (L+R=1) at the picnic area

MOLESKIN
Circuits were started out of necessatiy (scarcity of preachers and/or judges) but maintained because of the beneifts to the preacher/judge. The individual got a wholistic view of his community and a broadened perspective on the issues of the day. We are all riding our own circuits and routines throughout the day but often on autopilot. Stop today and take stock of your circuits and the issues facing your family and community. Are you a part of the problem or of the solution? Grace and peace to you.
