On the Diamond in October

Northeast Tennessee Johnson City Arrowhead (Indian Trail)

Clear skies and 45 degrees as 4 PAX came to realize the aspirations of many professional ball players: to be on the diamond in October. Well, the PAX at Arrowhead must have missed the playoffs because the field gates were locked. Time to audible. The softball field was open, but the mumblechatter arose something like this (paraphrased): Hey bro, I just got these new kicks, I don’t wanna be on no dirt. AND Wait, are we going to lay in this?

So at Arrowhead, we’re men of the people, we shifted to the track on the perimeter of the softball field.

Dynamic warmup, mosey around track on the way to the softball field, stopping twice to complete:

  • Imperial walkers IC x 10
  • Sticky Butt Kickers IC x 10
  • Abe Vigoda IC x 10
  • Seal Claps IC x 10

Circle around the field, stopping at each base. Reps were:

  • 7 at 1st base (really right field)
  • 14 at 2nd (center)
  • 21 at 3rd (left field)
  • 28 at home

Mosey between each base except between 2nd and 3rd, which we lunged. (actually from water fountain to foul pole)

  1. LBCs
  2. Merkins
  3. Freddie Mercuries 2ct
  4. Monkey Humpers
  5. Mountain Climbers 2ct
  6. Supermans (reps were in seconds)

Finished the Supermans on the way back to the flag

Brace yourselves, an Immortal Station clown car is coming on Saturday
