Arrowhead 7th Anniversary

Northeast Tennessee Arrowhead (Indian Trail) Johnson City

26 doods from all over the region rolled up with high expectations of themselves, the rep count, and the rainfall. All in the name of celebrating our beloved AO, Arrowhead.

Christened 7 years ago on January 31, 2017, this AO has seen a lot of sweat, a few tears, and even some blood and other bodily substances as it has hosted our workouts and felllowships. We’ve seen many come and go, but it wouldn’t be the place it is without our lineage of doods who took up the flag to be AOQ, and the pax who keep getting up and coming out in the dark for some reason. It’s been my privilege and honor to carry the flag for our AO this past year, and I’m humbled and grateful for everyone who came out to celebrate with us today.

THE THANG
We then divided up the pax into 3 stations: The playground, the hill, and the outdoor faculty glamping dining experience (aka the picnic tables). For the benefit of future convergences, we aimed for the following:
6:30AM start
6:42AM warmup complete and start of station 1
6:57AM Rotate to next station
7:12AM Rotate
7:27AM Return to the flags

The Playground (led by Etch-a-Sketch)

A mini-vern, without the long run:
Two cones 50 yrds apart for the sprints.

10 pull ups, sprint
20 merkins, sprint
25 dips, sprint
30 lbc, sprint
R&R

The Hill, (led by PBS)

Ascending ladder on the hill. With a theme of seven, of course. Perform the number of reps of the selected exercise at the prescribed points until the top is reached. The mosey to the bottom and hit the same number of reps of the next exercise.

Burpees, Lunges (L+R = 1), Plank Jacks IC, Squat Jumps, Heels 2 Heaven, Suicides (no reps, just run suicides from shortest to longest point), Burpees

1 rep – bottom of the hill
2 reps – halfway up the lower hill
3 reps – top of the lower hill
4 reps – bottom of the upper hill
5 reps – first tree of the upper hill
6 reps – third tree of the upper hill
7 reps – top of the upper hill

The Outdoor Glamping Faculty Dining Experience (the picnic tables, led by Zippo)

Another series of ladders from 7, this time involving Heels to Heaven, Mike Tysons, Step ups, and sprints to the stop sign and back. Glorious.
