PRAYER

Sometimes it’s easy to forget the who, what, and why behind what we do.  This morning, 5 PAX weren’t deterred by the rain. While some may have fartsacked or smartsacked, staying dry and warm, we gathered at the amphitheater to do hard things together. Not because it was comfortable — but because it matters.  YHC wanted to remind the PAX of who we are, what we’re doing, and why we get out of bed for a beatdown in the rain. Truth be told, YHC needed that reminder too — and I believe the other PAX did as well.

F3 Mission:
To plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for men to invigorate male community leadership.

F3 Motto:
Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you find him.

F3 Core Principles:

  1. Free of charge
  2. Open to all men
  3. Held outdoors — rain or shine, heat or cold
  4. Peer-led
  5. End with a Circle of Trust

THE THANG
Mosey to the Hill.  YHC quizzed the PAX on the mission, motto and core principles of F3.  The penalty for wrong answers or not knowing was 5 burpees each time.  I think we ended up with 25 penalty burpees to start.  To reinforce learning, YHC choose a DORA.  The PAX partnered up and while one started the exercise, the other would run up the hill and run back down.  After each exercise set was completed, the PAX quizzed each other with by reciting the 5 core principles of F3.

DORA round 1

100 BBSU

200 Merkins

300 Prisoner squats

DORA round 2

50 Mike Tysons

100 American Hammers (R/L = 1)

150 LBCs

Mosey back to the amphitheater.  This time the PAX passed their quiz with flying colors.  No penalty burpees needed.
