The M-51 Sherman tank was instrumental in the 1967 Six-Day War that Israel fought against Jordan, Syrian and Egypt. This tank was an older model that the Israelis modified to make it “BATTLE READY!”

I’m reminded of Gideon in the book of Judges . He had all these guys ready to fight, but God kept telling him that there were too many. When all was said and done, there were 300 fellas left with no weapons; only clay jars, torches and ram horns. This motley crew was who God used to defeat Israel’s enemy.

So too are we. God has called us to be His vessels here on earth. As the years go by, we recognize that our bodies were not meant to last forever. We need to take advantage of the opportunities that God puts in front of us: our  families, our friends, those we work with and those we meet in passing. Don’t squander what God has given each of us!
