Partner 1 does 5 pull-ups and runs a suicide while partner 2 picks a parking spot and completes Merkins X 10, Jump Squats X 10, Carolina Dry Docks X 10, and BB Sit-ups X 10, lunging from one corner to the next until partner 1 taps off.  Rinse and repeat until time is called

Next, Partner 1 does a wall sit/squat while partner 2 runs to the far end of the parking lot, does 5 burpees and runs back.  Modify as needed by adding a set of pull-ups before the wall sits.

Rinse and repeat until time is called.  Mosey back to the flag.

1 John 2:15 – Do not love the world or the things of that belong to the world.  If anyone loves the world, the love for the Father is not in him.  Romans 1:25 – They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served something created instead of the Creator….

Calvin, paraphrased by David Powlison said: “The evil in our desires often lies not in what we want, but in the fact that we want it too much.”

Just a reminder that the culture around us is enticing, but being a man means sometimes saying no to temporal pleasures so that we say yes to eternal pleasures.  It is easy to get distracted and caught up in the things of this world and in the busyness around us.  Some things are obviously off limits yet we’re tempted to make a poor choice.  Other things are more subtle, not bad within themselves, but when placed in a position garnering more attention than they deserve, replace a true fulfillment that cannot be answered with carnal goods.

Men, don’t allow the world and the things of the world to take your eyes off of that which is most important.  Keep your compass pointed towards God and prioritize your family.  Make sure to care for the physical and spiritual needs of your family and be selfless in the pursuit of loving them.
